Steve Schreiber is in his fifteenth year as a high school basketball coach, but his first leading the Brandon-Evansville girls’ basketball team.  Kami Dingwall and Heidi Elmer will assist Schreiber.  The Chargers are coming off a 12-15 season which saw them go 5-7 in the Little Eight Conference.

Returning seniors for the Chargers are Olivia Otto (G), Kaytlyn Pattrin (G) and Kiley Lund (C).  Junior members of the squad are Grace Otto (F/G), Sophie Koep (G), Sydney Schaefer (F/G), Emmalee Brethorst (F), Taylin Kramer (G) and Kayla Bitzan-Anderson.  Rounding out the varsity roster are sophomores Skyler Bitzan (G), Kylee Dingwall (F/G) and Madison Anderson (F/C) and freshman Hadley Baune (F).

“I would say our strength will be our athleticism and our weakness will be our lack of height,” said Coach Schreiber.  “Also, we need some of these young ladies to step up into a bigger leadership role.  We are capable of overcoming our lack of height and of establishing leaders.”

Hancock, Underwood and Hillcrest are Coach Schreiber’s favorites in the Little Eight Conference race.
