The Park Christian Falcons faced Brandon-Evansville in a non-conference match on Thursday night on the Chargers home court. The Falcons won three close sets, 25-21, 25-21, 26-24.

“We were excited to go against another strong team in section 6A,” said B-E Head Coach Kelly Olson.  “We came out strong in set one but lost momentum.  It wasn't until we started switching in some other players that we caught a little spark.”

Olson continued, “After coming up short in the first set we hoped we could carry some flow into the second set and stuck with the lineup we ended with in set one.  We started slowly and struggled to get things going until the end of the second set once more. The difference was this lineup was playing as a unit and we again made a good run, but came up short. The third set saw us jump to a good lead, but allowed them to close the gap at the end.  We had some errors from the serving line in the last 7-9 points, which were costly.  We had our chances but couldn't capitalize, resulting in us closing the night with a third set loss.  Park Christian was solid in all aspects and we struggled to keep a consistent lineup on the floor.  The players that came in for us did a tremendous job.  We love their ability to play in the moment.”

Brandon-Evansville will host Pelican Rapids and Benson on Saturday.
